my new studio rocks!

I'm so happy that my studio is finally FINISHED!! We have been working on it off and on for the past year. That third kid of ours kicked my butt for a while. (really it was the 2 year old. The baby was great!) We took out a wall, framed in a new double door, painted, had hardwood floors put in, a bunch of electrical stuff, etc. It was a long process. I am working on organizing all of my props and getting all of my fabric backdrops stretched. Whew. Speaking of props....check out this gold stool!!! I am in love with it. It is my friend's. I am not giving it back. EVER. Oh crap. Just remembered it's a dang family heirloom. I guess I will give have to give it back. Grrrrrr. Anyway.....I love having the studio back and running. This sweet lil' darling in these photos was a dream. She slept and slept and slept. I propped her just the way I wanted her and just snapped away. Love it when that happens. The headband is another Cessalea design. (see previous post)

OH BABY!!!!!!

This baby is pure happiness. I just love him so much. I have been kicking myself for not taking his pictures more, but my studio has been under construction for a while. Friday was the day. I made an appointment with myself to take Jesse's pictures. I'm so glad I did! Thanks for the help Cessalea. :)

just a little update....

It's been a long time since I posted so I thought I'd do a small collage of pics. I have so many more but Activity Days starts in ten minutes and I haven't cleaned up the house yet. EEEEKS! Milo just started 2nd grade and is loving it. Malia starts preschool on Thursday. Jesse might just start walking Thursday too. How sad is that? :( I'll post some more soon.

Blessing

Oh this baby! We had such a great weekend taking Jesse to the temple to be sealed and then blessing him. What an amazing blessing it has been to have him in our family. I can't tell you how overwhelmed I am when I think of the process of not being able to have my own biological children, adopting this beautiful baby boy, and having him sealed to Kelly and me. What a miracle. My heart is so full of gratitude for my Heavenly Father and for Jesse's sweet birth mom Rachel. She is the angel who made this miracle possible. Love you Rache!

I knew Malia was quite a chubby little thing but seriously? Was this for real? She couldn't even open her eyes! Glad she's slimmed down a bit. :)

Couch and Photography props for sale!

Super super comfortable couch. Kelly and I used it when we were kid less. It's in perfect condition. $200.00.

Lovely orange chair. Thought I'd use it more for doing outdoor pictures but I just don't. $15.00.

Lovely avocado green chair. This lovely piece has a swivel function. Oh ya! $15.00.

Oh this couch makes me so happy. I wish I had more storage space and I'd totally keep it. Looks awesome in pictures! $50.00.

Fire Engine pedal car. I love this little thing too. I have the ladders that go on either side of the back. One of the ladders is missing one of the little dowels but it is otherwise in perfect condition. I paid $100.00 for it. I'll sell it for $50.00.

Jesse 7 months!

Oh baby! I love this little Munchie. He is growing up way too fast. I just can't stand it sometimes. I made myself take a few pictures of him today. I should be way better at doing them considering it's only a few steps down the stairs to the studio, but I'm not. (sigh) Oh well....I did it finally. I just bought an awesome red chair today and will be taking more of him soon. Must get him in the blessing outfit!
